The project
Lighting shaped around the spirit of the space.
RUXU’s approach to handmade desserts and a slower pace of life informed the lantern. Our custom-lighting team translated that atmosphere into a quiet form with clean lines and a soft, translucent surface.
The lantern becomes a focal point within the store while keeping the light warm and gentle. Its paper texture adds another layer to the timber, planting and other natural elements in the interior.
Material
Thin rice paper allows the light within to pass through softly, revealing the texture of the shade.
Craft
The lantern draws on traditional paper-lighting craft, with a restrained shape that sits comfortably within the shop.
