About the team

A closer look

Agree the evidence at each decision.

The clearest service scope names the task, the deliverable and the person who approves the next step. Agree those responsibilities before supplier selection becomes a purchase order.

Decisions worth resolving

Keep coordination and approval responsibilities clear.

List what the sourcing team will collect, what the supplier must provide and what the buyer, installer or consultant must approve. Record open questions and required documents. Include a clear instruction for changes to an already approved specification.

Why this matters

ICC’s Incoterms rules clarify tasks, costs and risks in the delivery of goods from sellers to buyers.

International Chamber of Commerce ↗
Give inspection a defined scope.

Agree the lot, sample selection, characteristics, acceptance criteria, access and reporting format before the visit. Distinguish a visual/functional inspection from laboratory testing. Identify what happens after a failed check and who authorises release.

Why this matters

ASQ’s guidance explains that acceptance sampling uses a defined plan to make a decision about a lot.

American Society for Quality ↗
Make the handover usable on site.

Ask for supplier and item references, approved revisions, labelled photographs, packing information and open issues. A receiving team should be able to connect a carton or component to the relevant item schedule without relying on the person who selected it.

Why this matters

BIFMA’s product-verification programme uses model-specific product information and testing against applicable standards.

Before the order

A few things to clarify.

Practical questions for your brief, your quotation and the next decision.

Discuss your requirements →
Are you the manufacturer of every product?

No. Foshan Supply coordinates partner suppliers identified for the order. The exact seller, purchasing arrangement and responsibilities are confirmed in writing.

What does a sourcing agent’s fee include?

It depends on the agreed tasks and deliverables. Ask for a written scope that distinguishes sourcing, samples, follow-up, inspection, freight and any external costs before work begins.

Can I use only quotation comparison or inspection support?

Send the specific task and order information. A limited scope can be reviewed separately; supplier access, required evidence and responsibilities must be agreed first.
