The setting and the detail.
Our custom-lighting team’s account of Chulingyin describes a restaurant shaped around ceremony: a water feature, a long corridor, dining rooms and tea spaces. Lighting helps distinguish these experiences within the overall interior.
The project photographs move from a ceiling detail to the corridor and an individual pendant. Together they offer references for the ambient experience and for the smaller fixture details that guests see at close range.
Ideas to bring into your brief
- Consider arrival, circulation and dining as separate lighting moments.
- Review visible fixtures against wall, ceiling and joinery finishes.
- Include the control intent and the different operating scenes in the brief.
